তীমথিয়, তুমি আমার পুত্রের মত৷ আমি তোমাকে একটি আদেশ দিচ্ছি৷ অতীতে তোমার সম্পর্কে য়ে ভাববাণী ছিল তার সঙ্গে মিল রেখে এই আদেশ দিচ্ছি৷ এসব কথা আমি তোমাকে জানাচ্ছি য়েন তুমি সেই ভাববাণী অনুসারে চলতে পার ও বিশ্বাসের উত্তম যুদ্ধে প্রাণপণ করতে পার৷
